Thunderbird 2 is for many the most iconic of all of Gerry Anderson’s craft. Piloted by Virgil Tracy, Thunderbird 2 is the freighter that carries all of International Rescue’s ingenious heavy engineering equipment. With a maximum flying speed of 5,000 mph and a cruising speed of 2,000 mph, the vehicle is 250 feet long, has a wingspan of 180 feet and stands an impressive 60 feet high.
Continuing Anderson Entertainment’s highly anticipated move into collectibles, we are delighted to present this limited production Edition 1. 2024 Thunderbird 2. The finely detailed die-cast scale collectible showcases the legendary craft as depicted in the original Thunderbirds television series. It has been moulded from Zamac metal and ABS plastic using an entirely new tool based on updated 3D designs taken from original studio models, correcting many of the historical discrepancies seen on other products.
Finished with screen accurate decals, this collectable features bespoke dirt paint effects from mission action in homage to the original series models. The craft stands atop a fully sculpted scenic base decorated to match the Tracy Island launch pad.
Thunderbird 2 is secured in foam housing within a deluxe white presentation box which marks the model as part of our premium range. The soft-touch matt finish of the box interior provides a full schematic, specifications and detailed information on the craft. These features, combined with the Certificate of Authenticity, make this Thunderbird 2 a highly sought-after collectors’ item for fans of the series and collectors of iconic science fiction memorabilia alike.
